Humanizing Wicked Business Problems - Vancouver Startup Week

Human Centered Design or HCD is a highly effective way to look and solve complex problems using a different lens. This lens is all about creativity, different perspectives and a desire to understand others, which we call empathy in this field – be it your customers, users or your own internal teams. Yes, how many times have we encountered an unhealthy and unproductive conflict at work? The goal of HCD is to create value creating new innovation pathways.

And yes, we get asked a lot but the answer is a big NO – You do not need to be a designer to learn and apply human centered design in your life and work. We even use it at home to spark curiosity with our 5 year old and as a family to have without resorting to gadgets and technology.
